Hello!

I am Benjamin Langtree, I graduated at James Cook University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Communication Design, Major in Multimedia and I have worked as a Graphic Designer since 2004. I grew up in Cairns, Australia and went to St Mary’s Catholic College where I studied Art and Technical Drawing between 1997 and 2001.

I am currently the Graphic Designer for iTourism, iConcierge, Down Under Cruise and Dive, Billy Tea Safaris, Savannah Luxury Cruises and The Adventure Company where I manage all marketing strategies and branding. My role requires me to develop content such as Print Design, Web Design, User Experience Design, Motion Graphics Design and promotional video editing.

I have excellent skills in Adobe Creative Suite to create all kinds of work for a wide range of clients. Working as a Graphic Designer for the past 15 years I have honed my knowledge of finished art processes. During my career I became proficient at using both Mac and PC platforms to produce creative works.

Due to my training at University and my extensive experience in the Marketing industry, I have been equipped with a very strong understanding of design fundamentals and an exceptional eye for detail. Thanks to experiences in small design agencies and large corporations, I have learned the value of working as a team, accepting critical feedback from team members as well as working in complete autonomy where I was at the liberty to make decisions myself.

I have had the pleasure of mentoring a Marketing Cadet and acting as the lead branding consultant to the Marketing Manager and Coordinator. I was also the lead event designer where I worked on events such as The Redcliffe Fist Settlement Festival, Pine Rivers Festival, Mash It Up! Short Film Festival, Amp’d Up Battle of the Bands, Adrenaline Mens Physical Health Program, Australia Day Awards and Moreton Bay Region Youth Art Awards. I have also worked on Annual Reports, Corporate Plans and various other top level corporate documents where I managed production from start to finish.

 

As you might imagine, from a very young age I have been fascinated with all forms of art including Music, Photography, Architecture and nature. I am a musician and I have played the guitar since I was 10 years old. I have written and recorded 2 albums and 2 EP’s and found it both extremely challenging and rewarding. I have also had the amazing experience of living and snowboarding around Japan, Falls Creek, Canada, New Zealand and Thredbo.
